Applying for Reception School Places for September 2026?
We still have places available for children starting school in September 2026. If you are new to the area or would like to change your child's current offered school place, please get in touch.

In-Year Admissions
If you are interested in your child joining Hartford Primary School as an "In Year Transfer" – i.e they are already at school at a different setting, you should firstly contact school on 01606 74164 or email [email protected], to enquire if there are spaces in the relevant year group. Please note, our school is two form entry throughout school and therefore can take 60 children in each year group.
We would be delighted to answer any questions you may have and send you the virtual information we have in place, or invite you for a visit to school.
If you then decide to apply for a place, this can be done via Cheshire West and Chester website In Year Transfer application. You can apply for a place twenty school days before the date the place is required.
Once the application is received by school you will hear directly from us with regards to the offer of a place (if one is available) and an agreed start date. At this stage data collection forms will be supplied to obtain information that school needs and also an information booklet which provides lots of helpful information about school.
